nothing but a harp
I have an question. I am recording at a great analog studio in athens Ga. We have 24 tracks and 18 songs. I have loved the experience of analog but the machine process is slow and i have been debating dumping it all to pro tools for better editing and speed. I have not mixed from tape and i can't imageing how slow it would be???
Its good ole rock n roll with lots of toms and rich bass parts... what am i losing when i dump the tape into pro tools? If only 5% of the population will take notice i might want to save the dough (and fix a couple vocal moments!).
I'm not really bringing up the same debate, what i want to know is since i have tracked on tape will i loose much richness and depth by editing, mixing in pro tools and then going to an analog mastering house?
