I can sing the part in bold with falsetto but I can rarely get the note without it...I don't think he's singing it falsetto but if I keep practising will I be able to sing it without falsetto as good as he does? Cheers
 
Ok - let's break it down. What is the note he is singing and what is your highest note? I would say w/regards to range, some of it is natural gift and some is hard work and practice. If you are within a tone, then maybe...

As to your question... I can't sing at all so can't help.
 
If you can't quite make it then there's always the option of changing the key so that you can. Just transpose it down a tone or two into a key that's more comfortable for you. The usual issue isn't so much what the top note is (unless you simply want to sing along with the original performance) it's how wide the range is in the song compared with how wide our own vocal ranges are.


EDIT:
If you're playing the song yourself, then of course you can just transpose it into a key that suits your voice. But if you want to sing along with that video you could still transpose it if you have the right software and the know-how. One way would be to download the video, extract the audio, convert it to a WAV, drop it into Melodyne and drop it down a bit. The results can be quite reasonable - certainly good enough to sing along with.

I think you could sing that song if you've got the range. That original singer isnt using falsetto for that section you have in bold. The part in bold youre talking about, the singer is pushing it more as you can tell by the sudden jump in volume. As someone else mentioned, if its out of your range, simply transpose it down. Most people wont be able to distinguish between a 1-2 note drop, beyond that it will sound obvious that you're bringing it down. If you listen to the second song, "there she goes", theres little doubt that he's using falsetto to hit the highs. Ive always liked the song, "there she goes", but never knew what they looked like.. interesting..
 
you're basically asking us to tell the future.

No one can know IF you'll be able to do something you can't currently do ..... just practice and try.

BTW .... if you mean when he's singing 'lalalala' .... that's definitely falsetto.
And the second song, if that's the one you mean, where he's singing 'Here she comes' is falsetto.

And no ..... the first song is not a hard song to sing at all.
Neither is the second if you have a strong falsetto.
 
Whoa completely forgot I posted this! I've since been working on falsetto..I can pull it off and it's passable. Perhaps I can get the note more comfortably with practice, I'm so close but it's a struggle sometimes! Thanks for your comments.
