will an m-audio audiophile work with Cool Edit Pro 2?

may be a stupid question, but I just thoughyt I'd check if anyone had any major problems with compatibility?

If so (or even if not), any reccomendations for a smiliarly priced card (mainly recording acoustic guitar and vox)

Hi,
I don't see why it wouldnt work, my EMU 1212m works fine with it. I would recommend it highly, same price as the m-audio on ebay (as new). I chose this over the audiophile as the EMU (IMHO) has much better expandability in the long run.

I think the 2496 is a great card. It is apparently more useful to guys who are doing one track at a time, maybe .........

yeah, if that's the one you mean. It would be grand for cool edit pro.

Hi. The website wouldn't let me edit....not sure why. Anyway, I was going to say ONE track at a time, or MAYBE two. It's mostly a card for guys who do all their own parts. the 2496.....excellent card. perfect for cool edit pro
