I can afford to buy a more qualified mixer for my mac/digi 001 setup. Thanks Randall

I'm pretty sure I remember at least one person on this board saying they'd used a 424 in this way. The mic pres are not that good, I don't think. But the eq is not bad at all.

It is!! It is!!!!

I can only get two outputs but still that gives me four inputs that will mix down to the two outs and a total of four inputs that dont get in the mix they are only for head phones. I can moniter the input of whatever instrument thats being used before it goes to the digi 001 to record and I ran the head phone out from the digi to the mixer so I can here playback all in the same headphones. The 424 won't power a condensor mic so I ran a patch from no. 8 out of the digi to the headphone mix of the 424 so that an auxillary track for a vocal can be heard in the phones along with playback the condensor mic bypasses the mixer on the way in. So far so good.Randall

yep..

I was rehersing in my room for awhile to a POD/Drum Machine/Mic combo.

It made a lot of sense just to leave it all plugged in and track with it..I could easily see how it could be just a 4 track mixer....7-8 channel, actually.
