Will a digital mixer work better in my situation ?

Currently I have -

Behringer MX3242 - 32 channel / 8 Bus
Motu 2408
Steinberg Houston
DAW using Nuendo 2.0

I'm wondering if I could get rid of the mixer and the steinberg houston and just replace both with a digital mixer. Any recommendations ? I figure I would lose inputs but gain having automation and the mixer all in one place.
 
Hmmm. I'm not too sure. That's a pretty capable setup you've got there.

You'll gain some real estate on your desk, but are there any other benefits?
 
I should add that I have been running through the board and into the motu and then to the PC. I then would work with the audio using the houston to automate the mix and nuendo for effects. I guess what i'm asking is in my case would it make a difference if I did get a digital mixer ? I'm already staying in the digital realm anyway and not doing the mixdown on the board so the analog sound hasn't been a big player and the behringer preamps are nothing to get excited about.
