wierd problem with Audacity, can someone help?

I just installed Audacity. My box is running X/P and runs CEP 2.0 and Reaper just fine. Here's the problem. If I import a file it plays back just fine but if I record a track and then try to play it back it plays back way to fast. I did try to change the sample rate on the track dropdown but none of them corrects it to the proper speed. I can't find anything in the FAQ's or in the manual about this problem.


What am I missing or doing wrong?

That does sound like a sample-rate kind of issue. Did you check the project sample rate as well as the track one? (And, of course, compare both of those to your device's sample rate)

Otherwise, I have no idea.
