Wierd Echo While Recording...

Ok so one day my friend who plays guitar comes over to record. I added a few effects to his guitar in cubase before he played so he could hear what it sounds like. He didn't like em so I took them all off. However, even after all the effects were off there was still this wierd echo/delay kind of thing going on while he was playing and the only way to get rid of it was the shut down cubase and start it up again.

The echo doesn't record though so it doesn't effect that but its hard for him to play with that echo going on. Does anyone know how to get rid of this? Or what is causing it?

Wierd Echo

This problem has to do with monitoring. Go to audio set up and click Global Disable under the monitoring header. If it's on Tape or the other I'm can't quite remember it right now, then you will get that echo. I had to same problem not too long ago.
