Two things:

1) That sounds awesome!!! Great job on the tracks, both music and vocal. :cool:

2) I still hate you for not giving me voice lessons :mad:

Awesome, I had no idea when you PM'd me wanting to add vocals it would come out so good!!!!!!

This was done bass akwards being that I did this as an instrumental guitar tune and Cincy's vocals were not part of my original mixing plan. I just stripped th lead guitar parts out and sent Cincy the backing tracks.

I would do the background guitar parts much differently than I did for my version. I would weave background guitar parts in and all around your great voice.

This was an experimental deal and I think you did and absolutely awesome job!!!!

I going to give it several more listens.

I would like to use your voice on some future project if that's ok?

BTW, here's the original guitar instrumental version I did for those that want to give it a listen.

CincyKid, that's a very good take. Simply makes you step back and just listen. Very beautiful. EL34, the guitar playing and the hats are just the right thing. Very nice track.

The different areas of thing song are all well done.

It has a very polished sound.

You guys both did a very nice job. :)

The vocal octave slide (whatever you music people call it) on the chorus is very nice. The one at 1:14.

The vox are breathtaking and so is the instrument performance. :) I don't know the original song.

I am not sure what that octave slide is called either, I just usually say change from head to falsetto voice and back :)

I am sure there are other places to hear the original, but one place I noticed was on Chris Isaak's MySpace site.

Just make sure you turn the video off down to the left, and play Wicked Game song in the player to the upper right.

Hey Chug...yea, I want to start writing for sure.

I posted the only one I have so far: Safe for Sleeping , and the thread it started in was here, but I am working on another one as we speak (er type..)

it's just 2 tiny spots. Using Windows Media Player & taking the times from that the short slide at 41/2 secs & again at 13 secs aren't quite long enough for MY ears. The rest is ACE.
It's just like when a cadence is complete or a known melody is interrupted - an unresolved touch. Mind you that does make it a little edgier too.
Hey, you can sing on my stuff anytime you want to. NICE voice.

It truely moves my heart. It is one of those unrequited love songs, and man we have all been there.

I'm bumpin this cause I just had another listen to this and I love Cincy's vocal on this tune.

Ditto.......one of my favorite tunes......don't really like covers but, you nailed it and then some, great voice, great style!!!!!! :D
