...can't I see my DirectX-plugins in Sound Forge 5.0?

Argh! It's driving me mad!

I am not trying to insult you, but it is best to first ask the simplest questions. :)

Did you open a file?

The plug-ins won't show unless you have a file open.

Yes, I've opened a file... ;)

I see two things under the Effects-menu: Envelope and Pitch. But I thought there was supposed to be a DirectX-menu, where all my DirectX-FX would be... Or am I completely wrong?

Had the EXACT SAME ISSUE as you, but wanted to upgrade to 6.0 anyway, so I just uninstalled 5.0 and installed 6.0... problem solved. When I just tried to uninstall 5.0 and reinstall it was still fubar, this happened immediately after I installed Sonar 2 XL... no wonder

I have Sonar 2.0 XL installed.
Could that be the problem? I hope not! :(

I installed the demo of SF6, but that didn't help at all. SF6 didn't start, it just crashed... Strange.

Uninstall Sonar, then uninstall Sound Forge.

Re-install Sound Forge, then re-install Sonar. Maybe if you do it in that order, the Direct X plug-ins might work properly.

Damn! Hate reinstalling software!

But for you.... OK! :D

I know that it's not fun, but you-gotta'-do-whatcha'-gotta-do.

H*ll, it still might not work properly. :(

AAAARGH! I uninstalled Sonar, uninstalled SF and installed SF. Still didn't work!

Dang! I just formated my harddrive! Hope I don't have to do it again in the near future...

Computers are only fun when they work.
