Why won't my CD play on certain players?

I burnt a audio CD...It played on my Home stereo and my girlfriends boom box...

Why won't it play on her computer CD-ROM?

It could be due to a few things, but most likely your problem is the type of CD-R used. CD-Rs are still tempermental buggers--they'll play on some systems and not on others (although it's usually that a CDR will play in a PC drive but not in a consumer stereo. Try another brand such as the TDK, which has always worked well for me.
