So I came across a R2R machine I'd only heard of before when perusing Ebay....

and a roll down memory lane (yes one of the first mixers our band had around 1982 was a MM16-2 mentioned in the article)

and I end up on one of the original members of Genesis who it seems had recorded stuff on a Brenell Mini 8:
