This is my question:

When I had VST 5, a cubase song with something like 10 tracks, ocupies about 400Mb. Now with SX a song with about 5 tracks ocupies 1,2Gb. How? With waves at 44KHz and 16bits. I want to make a backup of this arrangement, and to do this i have to use 2 CD´s.

Is there any checkbox to change this feature?

Thanx

It`s the price you pay for undo in a way.
Also could be a bug on version 1.1 using midi plugins

Look into freeze edits and then remove unused files to the trash in the pool. Then you can detete unused stuff from the project BUT no undo any more (Edits are now frozen).

All in the doc`s

Ya, Hippo has it. I just ran into this on Cubase.net

AFTER your done with the tune and you have your song set, use "Freeze Edits" and "Cleanup" and that will take away all your unused audio and free up alot of space, but as Hippo pointed out that means you can't go back in and undo stuff. Small price to pay for unlimited Undo's imho.

Hey Hippo...you the same Hippo from cubase.net forums?? Welcome aboard :D

But.....

Hy

But the clean up feature isn t the same that empty trash?

The song folder, has the same number of waves that in the cubase song. There is no trash audio waves in that folder. Instead of that, all audio wave have about 128Mb for 5 minutes track. Strange when a complete 5 minutes music, in wav, have just +-50Mb.
