What do you Tascam 424 users do to add effects to your music?

Or don't you?

Why is this such a big secret?

Is it THAT difficult?
 
Effect send 1 or 2 out to my fx units and return them to stereo channels 5-6, 7-8 respectively. mix to taste. Sometimes I'll even track with effects depending on what I'm doing. I"m not quite sure what the secret is?????
 
Same as above. It's no secret. It's in the manual. Route tracks to the effects unit and tweak to taste.
 
I don't use any effects, most of the time,
