Hello all of you,
I have been going around the web for 6 month now looking for a new sound card/audio interface and I collected the following favorites:
- motu 896 (excellent, but am just afraid of firewire/amd chipsets compatiblity)
- aardvark q10 : seems good but the converters are the most "noisy" you can find for the price, on the specs at least: around 100dB for A/N, but in practice, is that such a big pb??
- motu HD192: seems flawless, except that it doesn't exist yet...and a little bit expensive though...
- DSP 3000 by ST-AUDIO: this card has everything one can ever excpected from a sound card/audio interface when you look at the specs, but i do not know anyone who ever mentions it in forums: what is it about it that nobody wants to talk about??? i just looked at the specs, it has 120dBA A/D and D/A converters!!! one of the best value of S/N i ever saw!!!!! So I really wonder, does it sounds GOOD???? Cause for "only" 1300$, you get the hell of a lot on the paper!!!!
please, someone who ever got close to the dsp3000, tell me how it sounds compare to the motu 896 or the aardvark Q10!!!!
Thanks in advance and god blesses our ears!
