Why is one of my Rokit 6 G2's "sizzling"?

Bored of Canada
I was monitoring myself playing guitar. Playing with a few distortion pedals.
When either dst. was on I noticed the right speaker had the weird slight sizzle sound. I traced it right to the tweeter. Cover it with my hand. No sizzle. Uncovered it, sizzle.
I switch around the speakers thinking maybe it was just the sound going from the right output or something. Nope sizzle still there.
:wtf:

 why am I always having a problem with something

There's gotta be something wrong with this thing.

The tweeter is definitely breaking up/ distorting.

Anyone have some recommendations on troubleshooting or contacting KRK? Anything?

I bought these new back in September from unique squared via eBay.

Do you mean just kind of a quiet staticky/poppy noise? If so, my left KRK 6 used to do that....I fixed it by (Lord forgive me) pushing on the cone a bit, as that's where the static was coming from.

It was really annoying. But you say yours is coming from the tweeter?

Yep. that's it. This weird reoccurring high end transient sizzle.
Indeed from the tweeter.

Hmmm tricky...since it's the tweeter instead of the cone, I don't really know what to do. :(

I re-positioned the "trouble speaker" just a bit and I don't notice it anymore. But I feel like it's still there. I don't see how positioning would cause the tweeter to sizzle. I wish there were a way to check if anything is sketchy.

Perhaps I'll just deal with it until an eventual monitor upgrade :(
