why do poeple not seem to use ntrack on this board.

despite its low price, it seems to be capable of pretty good recording.

any thoughts about this?

I think plenty of people use it, it's just a little slow in this forum.

Maybe because it's easy and people don't have many problems with it? :D

Lots of us are using it.

Mostly if we have a problem, we post over on the ntrack website where Flavio monitors the bug complaints and has fixes for us before we can check back again!

(Maybe we're just not as whiney as the other sequencer users??)

:-)

i'll be trying it, my older pc couldn't handle it, new one is smooth

The implications of these vulgar words disturbs me.

I've never "used" N track.

I have conspired...nay... SYNCHRONIZED my thoughts and emotions with N tracks, creating harmonious symphonies, glorious to behold.

But to answer the question, maybe all the n'track users are out busy recording and just don't have time to sit in and chat here... And they don't seem to have problems with it.... I dunno, just talking out the side of my neck...

I've seen that done... it's horrifying...

I'd love to be one of those people...unfortunately... wife and kids won't let me. So I come here to allay my desire in the best way I know how...

I REALLY can't wait to move into a house where I can have my stew-d-yo upstairs...
That way children can knock on my door any time and ruin my concentration/recording...

I wonder if I can still upgrade Version 3.3 to 24 bit?

Let me know. I am still on the fence right now, but with the problems I am having upgrading Vegas, I am looking for a good program. I found out that the version that I got from my friend may not have been on the up and up. He bought it in Singapore, so there is a chance (a great one at that) that it's a pirated copy. That explains why the registration numbers aren't on the Sony site. I don't want to be using pirated software, so as soon as I get some more loose change, I am going to make the switch. I was thinking about d/l'ing the demo and running it. Any limitations in the regular software with track counts that anyone knows about?

I've not been able to find the limitations, but I'm pretty sure there is one.

I ended up with 20 some tracks on one piece of garbage...

ROFL -- thats a great response to my poorly worded question. I will be more careful about how I state my queries in the future. Thanks for the welcome! :)

I'm running 4.(whatever-revision-it's-on-now) and have mixed up to 28 tracks so far...
Only 'glitch' to report is there's been a couple of occasions after loading up about 12 or 14 tracks, that the playback gets out of synch and even globs a couple of tracks together... some sounded like they're playing backwards... I just close out of the project and reopen it and all is fine from that point on, so it hasn't been a real issue...

Edit: Should mention it's the 24 bit program too... Not sure if that makes a diff...

:)

how's the editing on it?

Sucks...It uses an external editor.

I do all my recording in N-tracks, and then do all the arranging and cutting in audition.....

Also, might be my drivers, but in 4.0.4 the eq and compressor eats my latency. I have to change from 4ms to 50 to not get stutters.....still kinda buggy if you ask me.
