ARRRGH!I'm using VST 24/4.1 on a beige G3 minitower. 128 megs RAM, no other apps open, virtual memory off, I'v adjusted (or attempted to) the channel memory and the buffer size, and the damn thing cannot play a 3 second loop without dropping out on me! No fx, eq,dynamics, no MIDI, nothing.
I have a 6 gig HD, but it is nearly full (less than 1 gig left). The drive is not partitioned. I am using the internal audio instead of a seperate sound card.
Any ideas how to fix?

I'm inclined to say it is your hd performance. You also might need to tweek on your buffer and memory settings. I use a PC so I can't help to much there..... G.L.

Thanks, Joe. I have played with the buffer and memory settings within Cubase as well as in the allotment for the program itself-- currently it has ~64 mb available... I jacked that number up to ~96 mb, but it didn't seem to make a difference. Ugh. Think I'm gonna have some fun with my HD this weekend...
