Hi there I just recently started using Sonar 4(before I used Cakewalk Guitar Tracks). I recorded and mixed a song and it sounded great while played in Sonar, but when I exported it to a wav file, i noticed the sound volume was significantly quieter. I thought "no problem, I'll just go back to sonar and raise the master volume," but when I did this, the song started to clip at some points.
So apparently Sonar is making everything sound louder than it actually is. This didn't happen when I used Guitar Tracks--what I heard on that program was exactly what I got when I exported it to a wav file. I guess one solution would be just to mix at lower volumes while using Sonar, but I don't think that is the most reliable solution...does anyone have any idea what I can do so that Sonar accurately portrays the volume of my material? Thanks all!
