why does canada have to be so friggin cool?

vancouver has weather much like seattle. not too bad if you get used to the rain. great city with great urban planning. you might have caught that article (actually a series of articles) in the chronicle about how SF should start adopting vancouver style city planning as opposed to having almost no city planning whatsoever.

great place. no idea how to start a business there. but i am sure you could buy a house there for say 20% of what a house here in SF costs.

"the drive" is a pretty cool business strip. not a single starbucks, almost eeire from an american perspective.

Being half Canuck... I have no axe to grind, here.

But let's face it... the Canadian side of the falls IS the falls. You can't really compare them. Now if our side wasn't cared for... it's probably because NO ONE CARES. Once again, the Canadian side of the falls IS the falls. :D

currently i have a 4 night a week gig doing the music for a "killing my lobster" production going on right now. its a pretty funny ensemble i put together just for the production. 3 keytars into an ibook running reason. reason just basically handles the drums, but we cheat every now and again.

but we are probably going to do the keytar thing playing more serious music later. i am getting really into performance based electronic music. really fun stuff. ever since i saw Rovo (http://www.epitonic.com/artists/rovo.html) play at the great american. i would like to do that sort of thing. almost no sequencing but lots of synths.

OK, It's Time for the Canuck to set the record straght.......

First of all Yes there are gear deals to be had here and the vintage pro shops in toronto carry heavy stuff for cheap such as

but id like to state that the deals on Yorkville are fucking Useless because Yorkville sound like Junk and ever since Trainer became Yorkvile shortly after the death of Peter Trainer (founder) Yourkville turned into ASS! thats why you find them primarily in the rehersal rooms of high school band classes (actually Halton, Peel, and York, regon schoolboard) Keep Yorkville alive because thier amp designs arnt good enough.....same with GBX sorry buzzy i didnt work for me.....

However The standard of living in canada IT IS NOT CHEAPER HERE!!!! NOT AT ALL 14% Sales tax ON EVRYTHING in ontario plus income tax levying by the Eves Goverment as well as Educational slashing and Frank stronach Presedent of MAGNA presenting the provincal budget as for slums I DOUBLE DOG DARE ANYONE to walk down Jane and finch after 10:00pm alone HE HE HE HE.......
and The homless epademic in toronto is byond ASTRONOMICAL actually a whole section of the city has been taken by the homeless Cherry beach and last summer they cleand out several shanty towns downtown. I think Ernie Eves plans to make it a crime if he gets re elected.

It cost me 300 a month US to live in SLC UT with 3 bedrooms and a basement

it cost me 850 for the basement in HAMILTON ONTARIO!!!!

The music industry is UNINVENTIVE here thats why we get avril Lavigne THATS THE BEST WE GOT!!!!! evryone else sounds like SUM 41 Wait SUM 41 is from AJAX! see my point?

and BTW anyone like Triumph? cause thAts who avril lavigne is Bob Lavigne bass player for triumphs daugher he writes and produces.....

Am i saying canada sucks NO but it's not any better than the states its not any cleaner Hamilton is the dirtyest cespool ive ever seen, we talk and act the same BUT WE HAVE TIM HORTONS! you dont, Canadians are in general very NORMAL people A little TWO normal Diversity in peronalities here is very difficult to come by Ethnicity aside.....EVRYONE IS IN LOCKSTEP but we have Tim Hortons! and Better Beer.....Yes your american beer HE HE HE HE HE HE HE HE HE........so in sumation

ive got this two cd retrospective comp that is really good.

cd 1 is from his more serious rockabilly stage. very good.

cd 2 is that classic weird patriotic music. there is this great song about an electrocuted donkey. something like

I guess what got me fired up were the political comments. After 2 terms of Clinton, I find Bush to be a breath of fresh air. I have no problem with people who disagree, but the name calling gets old. Civility is a forgotten virtue.

Maybe this makes me an ignoramus in the artistic community, but I love my country, and respect it's president.

yeah, i agree with you there; philosophically, i don't really have much in common with the Bush gov't, but the name calling does get old, overgeneralized and besides the point real fast...
