DOn't flame me (I am italian, so sorry for my not-perfect english), but i was wondering why you don't seem to like this budget mic so much...

Could you tell me, then, an alternative on its' price range... and reasons why I should not buy it...

I just bought a Mindprint EnVoice and i am very hapy with it....
Any comments ?

Thanx for any answer...

I dont think anyone hates the NT1...lots of people here own and still use them....it was once TE budget mic to have.....but over the course of the last year a few contenders have emerged that sound better and are comparably priced....

in the US, the NT1 retails for $199....for that price you can get a Studio Projects C1 and for $149 you can get a Marshall mxlv67 for $149...both beat the hell out of the Rode......

so the Rode isnt a bad mic...you can just get so much more for your money now....

Me too!

Sweetwater has them for 249. Please, tell us where we can get it $100 cheaper.

somewhat of a typo...I was saying that the NT1 is $199 and the C1 is the same price ($199)....you can get the v67 for $149......

Id go for the v67, H2H...maybe if you have Harvey Gerst quality ears you can hear the difference (and thats a compliment to Harvey), they sound pretty identical......

flash, hopefully Alan Hyatt will jump in on thispost andlet youknow where around there you can pick up a C1...though it may be more, it should be similarly priced to the NT1 there......

Where have you seen a V67 for $149 Gidge? They are $219 at 8thstreet as they have been for months. Or is that the Mars one?

smoking? me? ...i dont think so that stuff kills brain cells.....and another think I dont smoke......it kills brain cells....and the biggest killer of brain cells is smoking dat shit......uh......anyone got some chips......

Emeric, yeah thats the Mars model v67M that is $149...but a few people will match that price....Abe's did for me a while back when they were a tad higher......

Gidge, you're still tops in my books ;)

Actually, at NAMM this summer, Alan offered to sell me the NAMM demo for $150, but I was just flat broke at the time, I wish now that I had just been able to scrape it out! So it goes, no money when you need it most. I really want one of those, just to demo against me other mics and check it out.

v67g at Sam Ash

Hey, I got a tip from another thread and called Sam Ash. I spoke to Jeff 1-800 4 SAM ASH, ext. 2292. I got him to match Mars Music's price of $149 for the v67g, with SM and shipping! He was pleasant to deal with too. Ordered on Friday and got my mic Wednesday.

WTG Reqs....now the rest of you guys go dig up the deals on the C1...they are out there...lots of companies are competing for your precious $$$$ and they rather make $10-$20(or whatever they make) off a mic than 0......
