Why can't I hear myself ???

Hi All,

I have a question for all the Omni studio users out here. I recently purchased a used Omni studio and sound. I set everything up and have started tinkering with Adobe Audition. I play guitar and like to record my ideas on my PC.

Here is the problem. When recording my guitar over drum/bass tracks, I can hear the prerecorded drums/bass tracks through my headphones which I am using to monitor myself, but I can't hear the guitar that i am trying to record. Can anyone please tell me what I am doing wrong? This problem is driving me crazy since I can't hear myself playing long with the music...

Open the Delta Control panel. In the Patchbay/Router tab select 'Monitor Mixer'.

On the Monitor Mixer tab, adjust the levels of the H/W In sliders & make sure they're not muted

Thanks for the advice. I will give that a shot and see if it does the trick. This is probably a simple problem but I am new to home recording so some things are not obvious to me.

Just wondering what software you are using with your Omni studio. Do you use Adobe Audition as well? I find that it's a great program for recording. Very powerfull.
