Gotta go with Zakk. He kicks ass for Ozzy, he kick ass for BLS, he kicked ass for Pride and Glory, and he'll kick ass for anything else he works on too!

Jake E. Lee for sure. I loved his stuff with Badlands too. I always liked his phrasing and general style. Plus he seems like a nice guy from the interviews I've read. His artificial harmonics were awesome too, he inspired me to work on those for hours on end in high school.

Now Zakk has always had tone to die for, making every teenage boy in the country want that low chunky growl and extreme artificial harmonics and mile-wide vibrato. I just can't stand his songwriting.

But nobody ever truly replaced Randy. What an icon. I hate metal anymore, but I still catch myself playing excerpts that I remember from Tribute. It just makes me feel happy to play some of that stuff.

Jake E. Lee killed! Zakk is surely top notch and the guy deserves everything he's accomplished, but I always liked Jake the best. To me, his style sticks out more than the other two completely. I say this only because too many players ran with Randy's classical angle and kinda ruined it. Jake was more blues than both. The Ultimate Sin Lp for as dated as it is, might still be my favorite solo Oz. That, and Badlands might be the best Zeppelin clone ever to exist. Fuckin Soul Stealer?!! His playing and tone in that song absolutely slays.

ZAKK!!! No brainer for me, really. Been quite a while since a guitarist has made pentatonic scales interesting again, hasn't it? Great picking technique, ridiculous harmonics, and a beard that could easily beat the shit out of me.

I'd go so far as to say that Zakk is the last of the guitar heroes. That's right...I said it.

I'd have to agree with that though. I'd like to see him apply himself a little more. He's got a few good ones, but the riffing is a bit tiring after awhile...

Come on, Ozzy hasn't come anywhere near the success and songsmanship of the two Randy Rhoades albums. Without a doubt, the best guitarist Ozzy ever had and the best songwriting partner was Randy. Ok, but afterwards, I go with Jake E.

Now, riddle me this- Is songsmanship a real word or did I just make that shit up?
