I need to interview an "industry professional" for my Career Options in Mass Media class. Someone who knows anything about getting a job in production or recording. Might I find them here?

I would recommend contacting someone at the AES (Audio Engineering Society).

Either that, or find a directory and basically cold-call to a bunch of studios and see if anyone is available to talk.

go on the AES cruise! You just might get a handjob while you're interviewing, so that's a big plus!

You can PM me any time, I work at Abbey Road studios (I own it) and have produced 10 platinum albums (forgot the names though).

Abbey Road is in Huntsville? When did they move it?

Thing about this is, while it's not a major assignment, it's due in a week. All I need is basic information: what experience is necessary to start producing professionally, where should I start, what are good ways to get my foot in the door, what sort of money and benefits can I expect, what are related unions and organizations, how do job prospects look for the near future, what kinds of classes should I be taking....just enough information for me to write a two-page paper about what I learned.

See if Bob Olhsson will talk, he leaves his phone number for all to see. I bet he has some interesting stuff to say :)
