Who uses Apple computers?

#1. If what you say is right and the Mac cases are VERY much more expensive than metal cases... then Apple should have their ass removed for making such an expensive case standard on all of their power macs.

#2. Apple is always ruining an economical design JUST to make it look sleak and sexy. I have heard that since Apple bought eMagic they absolutely cannot have the Logic Control looking like other products made by Mackie... so they are doing two things... #1. they are seaking legal action against Mackie to make them change their design and #2 they are redesigning the outside apperance of the Logic Controler to have the same sleak grey and blue appearance that Mac's themselves have. And in doing so they are reducing some of the functionality and hiding some of the buttons to make for a sexier apperance.

Don't get me started on my hatred for how Apple choses to package their products.

I say again... I don't want to me misunderstood. I LOVE Apple computers. I just HATE Apple Inc.

wow, pisces, that sounds a little extreme. Legal action? Well i am not suprised that they would want the logic control to stand out. Emagic has always had wonderful customer service, so has Apple, and both their attention to detail and integrity puts me at ease with Apple in the control seat of this Apple/emagic joint.
Is it true that everything Mac innovates and does with their computers that every PC will do as well? Can you do everything you can do on a Mac on a PC these days? Yes. If you are looking at numbers than the PC is dominant with the speeds that they have. But comparing PC and Apple is like comparing apples and oranges. It would be different if you were comparing a Dell with a Gateway but what has always been great about Macs is its own entity that still holds its own.
I just hope that the dual tower I will probably get won't be rendered obsolete too soon, say when Apple releases their next big move to counter or match the competition.

Apple's hardware will only fall further and further behind. This is because they build fewer machines- thus their production costs are higher and they have less $$ for research & development.

Don't worry, it will be a long time before there's any "next big move to counter the competition."

Just wait til Apple starts redesigning Logic to be more "friendly." Mark my words, their "attention to detail" and "integrity" mean that some day your choices will Be "iAudio" and "AppleAudio Pro," and 15-20% of the really killer features will be gone. Like VST/VSTi/DirectX, which is already gone...

bdemenil,
that sounds a little weird to me. They build fewer machines? Well, this has always been true compared to the other side of the computer market. Apple's got cash coming in. I'm running on like no sleep so the only thing I can site is their copyright on Firewire which is on like all kinds of components. \

well I dont care what they call the programs. It is indeed there is no more VST, but I figure that if you wanna break an omelet you gotta break a few eggs

"If you want to break an omlet you have to break a few eggs...???"

Geez... you really are not sleeping much these days huh? :D

lol, that's awesome. i didn't realize i said that. I really must have been tired.

Merry Christmas everyone!
