YOU SUCK IF IT WAS YOU!
Man I watched that blown M500 down to the last 30 minutes, and it was at $99, no one ever bidded on it. I bid up to $145, just in case anyone was lurking, and someone got it for $147.50 in the last 30 seconds. MAD AS HELL
I had already talked to Stephen Sank about it and everything, was ready to have the DX mod installed.
Sigh... damnit.

hah. the same thing happened to me once, but it was a figure 8 mic. i cant remember the model number, it was a beyer ribbon, though. i couldnt wait to send it to sank and then be able to use it for strings and stereo micing and different things.. but, alas, someone beat me in the last minute.

Its not that I am the one but, how do you get ahold of Mr. Sank. In case I snip.... Aquire one of those ribbons? ;)

You can have it now for ONLY $170 + Shipping.
Heh, heh.

Chris

I would pay $170, for sure.
Sad thing is, about a year ago Full Compass blew out the Silver Edition M500's for $229, and they had like 500 of them. Wish I would have known then, I would have a pair.
Oh well.

tubedude, you probably guessed I was just pulling your leg!

Check your private messages though for a possible "consolation" deal.

So, how come you only bid $145? Now, whoever got it might have bid $200, but if you had bid $170 at least he would have had to pay $172.50 instead of $147.50.

You only loose it in the last minute on eBay if you use it incorrectly. You might get outbid because somebodye else is prepared to pay more than the thing is worth in your opinion, but that is really his problem, not yours, right?

But then, if you actually bid your maxium price, you don't have anything to whine about? :)

e-snipe... how lame. Far more lame than personally lurking till the last minute and bidding.

Esnipe

Yeah.. Dirty bunch of thieving assholes!!!...

Where do I sign up... :D

You don't need it. Unless you want to bid on something that expires in the middle of the night or so, then it could come in handy.
Otherwise it's useless.

Guess again...
It actually worked out to 177.00 apiece with the beautiful cherrywood box if you bought more than 5...
I bought a dozen, and they have turned out to be the best trading fodder imaginable...
I think they sound better than the original M500s, too...
