Sure, why not here. I'm a kneub when it comes to 'vid. 
Home TV, cable, real basic old TV stuff.
I've noticed many times (over the years, different places..) that sometimes during an ad' for example they'll add a new sub screen into the picture. And with that will be some audio hum or buzz. Seems understandable -looks like a new info box layered on' and with it came some sort of noise aberration.
But something recently just the opposite that really puzzled me.
I noticed with the volume up for a quieter program I guess there is a normal low electrical background noise, but if I bring up the cable program info box' overlay- the noise level goes way down!
It's always bugged me the cable audio s/n I was getting was frikin crap (-compared the audio quality it's easy to do in our recording?!
I'm just wondering what the heck is going on, and if it can be that much quieter.. how to get there?
