Who is your muse?

Who is your muse - do you have someone that inspires you to write?
 
Usually girls I meet.I don't always finish the songs, because I'm usually admiring them from afar...kinda puts a damper on who they really are.
 
Cliche, but my ex-girlfriend. I've never connected with anyone in the same way, but she was on meds for bi-polar, narcissistic and achingly beautiful. We hurt each other. It was grand.

Other than that, social events and lots of pop-culture stuff (old B-Grade horrors) tickle my muse.
 
Mine is a best-friend-never-to-be-girlfriend.... That's common, right?
 
i like writing about people on TV, or the Newspaper, or Books... because i don't know them, and the only information i have is what i've seen from these sources, it means i can 'question their motives' or imagine how they got in whatever situation led them to being on the news or whatever in the first place - i suppose i make up my own muses :o sadly, it often ends up my best songs are the ones about the people i don't like :p

It makes sense - IMO. I have say the same is true for me.
 
I've always felt the muse is not a he or she - it is a brief encounter, a passing comment, a summer day or stormy night, a feeling of joy or pain, or perhaps the absence of same.

The muse briefly allows you to reach out and grasp artistic beauty and the muse will quickly leave you if you don't accept it when it shows itself.
 
I am inspired most by my friends Jack, Jim, Johnny, and Jose'.

I don't really get inspired. I usually just feel like composing. Sometimes I will come up with a great musical idea and sometimes I won't... if I do, I have had enough experience where I know how to shape it in to a song.
 
I just listen to other people's stuff and steal the riffs I like.
