I have extensive computer knowledge and have recently dabbled in mixing with software from accoustica: mp3 and mixcraft(just doesnt do midi) I am considering getting cakewalk the music maker.

I have recently purchased subliminal sound recorder however it doesnt seem to work for me.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated, as I 'm trying to learn how to create subliminal messages in audio, I am also practice hynposis as a hobby and attain my goals.

You are aware that the whole "backward/subliminal message" thing from the 80's was a crock of shit, right?

Sounds more like he wants to make very subtle guided-imagery recordings.

I'm curious about what a "subliminal message recorder" is.

If the recording is subliminal, how do you know you got the take??? ;)

Being able to put messages subliminally onto a tape or in music and expecting people to be able to hear them and be effected by them is as much a myth as the concept that touching frogs gives you warts. I did my Master's thesis on the subject and I can tell you first-hand that all of those "studies" (by James Vicary, in the Fort Lee, NJ movie theatre, the "Eat Popcorn and Drink Coke study"), were never replicated, and, perhaps, never even performed in the first place. Vicary admitted many years later that he was working for a fledgling company that relied on positive data-so he gave it to them.

The word "subliminal" means "below the limin level", or below the level where our brains can percieve what pictures or sounds mean. That means that if our brain can't detect that something is there, we CAN'T expect it to effect us.

Sorry!

Now, go write a brilliant piece of music!

Do you want salt and pepper with that hat, or maybe some ketchup? :D

I don't own a hat, but I'll take the spices and condiments for my ultimate cheeseburger. :D

I would enjoy a burger, but I dont think it's in the cards!

Plus, I had a burger last night.

I don't know what the message is but I have an overwhelming urge to sacrifice a virgin into a volcano.

Not a chance in hell I'll find an adult virgin or a volcano 'round these parts, luckily.

Your location is the Garden of Eden... there are no virgins there?

Funny thing, that. I did some visual subliminal experiments in our honors psych class. The test was to see if subliminal messages could influence a decision that you make, in this case, choosing which beverage to drink. I didn't get the desired probability (I forget... p=.95, seems like I got .86 or something) of it not being random, so it wasn't statistically significant, but it was close enough to raise a lot of eyebrows, particularly since the results were limited by sample size and certain artifacts (at least a couple of people reported being allergic to one of the choices). If we eliminated those skewing factors, I think we might have been able to get statistically significant results....

I'm not saying subliminal tricks work, but I think they've been discredited far too quickly by people who would very much like to convince people that there is no truth to them....

I remember seeing in "Mens'" magazines years ago of a tape with music on it, that coupled with alcohol, could help you get into a girl's panties. I was far to skeptical to try something like that (plus I was stationed in the Philippines, and I didn't need that, only the proper "peso-nality! :D )...
