I'm still here . . . sort of

I stop in here at least every two or three days, but to be honest, I've been reluctant to post any of my stuff because sometimes the new members make me feel like a dinosaur.

I've been working on my musical lately. Many of the old regulars here have heard a bunch of the tunes, but how cool is it to even write a musical?

I have felt like a pariah sometimes and that people were avoiding me like the plague. Then RAMI called me a whiner so to speak and he was right.

I don't like to think of myself as an attention freak, but the new members I see here wouldn't dig my stuff.

I apologize to all the good people here who do and I will post something again soon.

I've invited Joey and Chilli to another forum and I think they were well received there.

I'm going to PM Ray and do the same.

I'm a new member, and I'm interested in hearing what you're working on!

I was very insecure about posting my songs here, because, frankly, I didn't think anyone would like any of it. I have been amazed at what I'm learning from so many people here - people who aren't into my music, and maybe don't necessarily "like" what I do. They have good ears. They hear things I don't hear (but am learning to hear), and many have said things that stick in my head in just the sort of way to push me to be a little better than I have been. It's just icing on the cake when someone actually likes my songs!

Sounds like you've been around a long time, and know a lot of these guys, but maybe it would be nice for you to expose your work to some fresh, new ears?
