I have a singer who has a beautiful soft voice, and I'm wondering if there are any mic's specifically suited for a low-volume vocal. thanks!

There are microphones with extremely low self noise, famously the Rode NT1a but also the Lewitt LTC 540s or you could go the dynamic, SM7b and Cloudlifter route assuming you have a fairly ordinary AI?

But the signal to noise performance of your mic/pre/AI system might be the least of your problems? A very quiet voice demands a very quiet room. You could find that a fairly ordinany capacitor mic is quite ok unless you have a particularly quiet place.

I assume you do not have a super silent, professional studio or you would not be here asking us!

I like the neumann tlm103 for that kind of thing, it's a low self noise sensitive mic, I've used it for whispering tracks on metal songs, it has a lot of detail.
