I'm trying to get myself together a small recording/mixing setup and I'm not quite sure how to go about it. As much as I would like a G5, it's out of the question right now.

So, I'm looking at the Powerbook G4 and the Powermac G4. What are the benefits/drawbacks of each one? If I were to go get a Powerbook, what would I need to get along with it for recording (something from M-Audio?)? Woudl I need to do the same for a PowerMac?

Sorry to bog people down with such a broad topic. I haven't had the time to do my own research due to working a lot recently. Thanks for the help though.

I dont suggest a laptop unless you really need mobility.
A desktop is the better choice with an internal PCI card and, or... optional breakout box.

yeah don't get a laptop. You're basically limited to USB or firewire then. Plus you'll have a lot of fun upgrading things like ram, hard disk etc.
