Hello everybody,

I'm looking for a set of monitor speakers to mix and produce electronic music.
What are the differences between these monitors?
- Gemini sr8
- Mackie mr8
- KRK rokit 8
- M-audio bx8
- Yamaha hs80m

Thanks!

Hi!
To put it simply - every monitor sounds different. Besides that, there are less important things like input options (XLR, 6,3mm jack, rca, digital), some have room compensation switches...

Yammies seem to be popular choice. Personally I would rule out M-Audio and Gemini right away.

no I didnt say there are better, but they are good in mid & low frequency, the Mackie mr8 are good 2, I think Infected Mushrooms & Skazi use them

I'm searching for monitors that can give me a realistic sound and also good low frequency. The KRKs are good for mixing, but don't they have to much bass for music producing?

I don't know how the MR8s do, but I have HR624s and I've been very happy with them.
I no longer have trouble translating to other systems.

I know there's a limit, but I can happily say I trust them.

From what I've heard/seen KRK's seem to be a good choice, and they are not too expensive.
