I am considering creating a hobby home studio in my basement. I have two rooms to choose from. I really dont want to re-model until i've tested all the waters with this...
Room 1:
Size 20 X 12
Stucko Ceiling and Walls
1 Small window
1 Door
Lots of power outlets
Good lighting
Room 2:
Size 10 X 10
Drop ceiling
Drywall
1 small window
1 door
2 Power outlets
Poor lighting
As I said, this is sort of a hobby at the moment, and I really dont want to do a whole lot of renovations. I have broken it down into (what I athink are) advantages/disadvantages :
Advantages of the large room :- obviously its size
- Proximity: it is on the opposite side of the bedrooms
- Plenty of power outlets
Disadvantages of the large room :
- Acoustics? (Stucko? Seems to reverb a bit..)
Advantages of the small room :
Better acoustics? (I think..please provide opinions..)
Any opinions/considerations appreciated here....Thanks!!
