WHICH PROGRAM IS BETTER FOR A STUDIO
Cakewalk Sonar Producer Edition v5
Audio Editor Gold V8
Absolute Sound recorder v3
Fruity loops Studio 6 Producer Edition
Virtual Dj v3.4
 
Depends on what you're doing, I guess. If you're going to be recording audio at all, I would go with Sonar. There are two versions of it...Studio and Producer. Review the feature set at Cakewalk and see which one would be best for you.

Personally, I use Sonar PE 5
 
Your bringing up a question that really fits into the Newbie forum better.

This forum is more specific to Cakewalk products.
 
The simple answer is: whichever one most enhances your personal workflow and allows you to accomplish your goals. Anyone who claims that any one program is the absolute best is just throwing their ego around or trying to justify a purchase.
 
It also depends on the type and style of music you want to do. FLoops is more for the dance/trance style whilst Sonar is a more of a true Studio Recording tool. ;)
