Which PC OS for SX?? 2000 or XP?

I want to upgrade to SX and would like to know what you guys think about OS ...which one works better for you??
BTW I've got:

P4 1.7 GHz; 256 MB RDRAM
60 GIG 7200rpm HD
 
I havn't used 2000 or NT, but I've used all the other windows platforms and XP is by far the most stable OS out of the bunch.

That being said, I havn't heard too many complaints about 2000, so either one would probably be fine.
 
I havn't been here at this forum for a long time but i hang around in a comptuer forum a lot. Neways you probably won't have a problem with XP on your setup, but I prefer 2k. It's faster and I just like it a lot more. win xp is based on NT technology as well as win2k so they are all similar but under win NT there is no USB support. NT is not for home use. I would go with 2k personally.

between XP and 2KPro, I don't think there's that much of a difference. Go with what you like.

I use XP on my laptop, and 2KServer on my home computer.
