Which PA System to buy?

I am looking to buy a PA system for my 3 piece band, (one guitar, one bass, on drummer) and we will have the bassist and guitarist singing. I need to know what is the best full package for under US $400.00. (Under $350.00 even better, but it doesn't matter) I am hoping for something for small acts and band rehersals. We might try playing some backyard concerts to get started. Thanks for the help!

I think you need a little more spread, or buy used. Like this is OK, but it's $600:

The smaller and cheaper systems than that either don't have mics and stands, or have smaller speakers and smaller amps which are gonna have trouble competing with a rock drummer. Eventually you will want a monitor too, so you can hear yourselves sing . . .
