Why do you say win2000 is a better OS, I have read that XP was better. Of course my knowledge of OSs comes from counting the Blue Screens Of Death.

I upgraded from Win2000 to XP today, and WHOHO! It's even better than Win2k, faster and easier to set up!

like everyone already said: turn off the fisherprice things & services, defrag, only use it as a DAW, and with 1Gb ram I safely turned of the page file.

The only major difference is that Home does not have the additional networking functionality that support the Remote Desktop feature found in Pro. The other difference is the lack of multiprocessor support like I mentioned above.
