Which of the less expensive 414 would you recommend ?

I think of getting a AKG414 as an overall mic. Which one of the less expensive 414 models would you recommend, and would you recommend getting two of them for stereo drum overhead recording ?

Having a pair of 414's is never a bad thing. The B/ULS version is probably the most standard and widely used of the more recent 414's. I like the TL2 and the EB's also, but I think the B/ULS version is maybe a little more flexible as far as being able to use it on more sources. Any of them will be great mics though and should be a welcome addition to just about any mic locker that does not already have some:)
