Which monitors to choose?

Unfortunately, I've just had to sell my monitors because I am in need of money. However, this does pose a slight opportunity for me once I get more money. So now that I can start from scratch with new monitors later, I would like to ask...which monitors would you guys choose? I've narrowed it down to three choices, I would just like to know which of the three you guys would recommend...and the contestants are...

1. Alesis M1 Actives
2. Tannoy Reveal Actives
3. Event PS8 Actives

Any input would be very appreciated! thanks in advance!

First off, do a search on this site, and you'll find several threads along these exact same lines...That should at least give you a starting point -- If that doesn't clear it up and make a choice easy, ask back.

Stay away from the Alesis Monitors (just run a quick search on these, and you'll see what I mean...I can't put it any better than bvaleria already has...), especially in the face of the other two...

One major suggestion would be to take a few albums that you are really familiar with to the store with you and do an A/B on the Events and the Tannoys.

Just to throw another option at you (and to gain a post ) You might want to check out the Yorksville YSM1s I've have heard very good things about these, do a search and you'll see what I mean.
