Hi, I'm about to buy a 32 channel mixer for my church (in New Zealand). I have come down to three options.
I can source locally either a Yamaha GF32/14 Fx, or a Soundcraft Lx7ii. I can also get from the USA a Phoenix Pro 406 (which Soundmaster says is exactly the same design as their old Trilogy 406. Soundmaster is no longer producing these, but Phoenix Pro is now the US distributor for Soundmaster and is producing the 406 under their own name.)
All of these boards will cost us the same money (within $200). I've pretty much narrowed it down to the Soundcraft or Phoenix, but without seeing a Phoenix board I don't know whether to trust it. I can't find any reviews. I don't even know if the Studiomaster is better than a Soundcraft to start with! Can you help?
I'd also be interested in anyone's advice on whether to go with some Wharfedale EVPX powered speakers, LX passives, or to spend a bit more money and jump up to the JBL Jrx115s with 118 subs. Thanks
