I use an electronic kit because I have no room for acoustic, plus the sound I'm going for is usually augmented and not a cheap emulation of an acoustic set...I WOULD just program them out, but I really really like drumming, and step sequencers make me crazy after about 20 minutes.

I have been using acid loops, editied in DP. Sounds OK but very limiting. I'm gonna invest in an E-kit so I can stay up late, jam or record whenever...
