what threw me was the two black pads on the far left of the keyboard in the first picture... now that I've looked again at the A-37, the button configuration and the little slider to the left of the group of six buttons definitely prove me wrong
Hmm so it does appear to be a match. I thought it'd be something a bit nicer than a Roland $400 A-37 model, but I guess it does just fine as a controller.
You're probably right. As we can see in the photos, this guy is keen to setting various pedals on top of his synths, and the velcro is probably for attaching these pedals or other various other floor/tabletop, or similarly sized pieces of gear or accesories to the A-37, securely. I use velcro to attach little computer style keyboard lamps to the backs of my synths.
