Which Is Better?

MXLV7, V69, OR V77?

I wanna use it for male, rap vocals.
 
Which would be better suited for male rap vocals?
I want something to... add a little flair if the person should come off somewhat emotionless...or any mic that can do that..not just these...any suggestions?
 
I would assume the v69 then v67 then v77 in that order. I'm assuming you want a little more umph or punch in rap vocals. I don't rap, but to my ears, it would be up your alley. The v77 is supposed to be a good mic (I haven't heard one), but a bit smoother.
 
Out of the three mic's you have listed... I only have two Marshall MXLV67G and I like them very much. However, a while back I asked Harvey about the Marshall mic's that he has and this is what he told me.

To the Marshall list, I would put them in this order:

MXL V69
MXL 603
MXL V67
MXL 990
MXL 1006
MXL V77
MXL 2003

While I like the V77 and 2003, I'll prbably start using those less often although I may retire the 1006 in favor of the 2003, but I'll hafta listen to them both side by side first. I'm looking forward to listening to my V67Gs again as soon as they get here.

Remember now, the 603S and 990 are SDC mics, and the V77 and V69 are tubes. If you want more details, I have that too, but I'd have to dig for it... anyway I hope this helps you.

PS... all this stuff is on this mic board... you just have to search for it.
