Just realized something about my Kurzweil synth's specs that I forgot about. So, here's my question people:
Which would be better sound quality for recording?
Recording my Kurzweil synth through its Digital Out to S/PDIF, but at only 16 bit @ 48,000 since that is the best that the Kurzweil has when they made it a few years ago,
or
Recording Analog out of the Kurzweil at 24 bit @ 96,000 into my sound card?
In the last few days, I have learned that in order to record S/PDIF to S/PDIF, both devices need to speak the same speed (language) in order to LOCK UP.
Not that it should matter, but I'm using the PCI Audiophile 2496 with Sonar.
