Hey I was wondering what will be the best setup and maybe produce the best sound out of these options..

I have a Eurodesk SL2442FX-Pro Mixer ,A Pair of ROKITPowered Monitors , and a Firewire 410..

Would it be better to Connect a 1/4 plug from the 410 to the mixer and use the 410 mixer mic port and connect the monitors to the 410 also. (A Guy from SamAsh recommended that)

Or .. Connect the 410 to the mixer with the 1/4 plug and use the mixer mic port. and connect to the monitors to mixer.

Anyone?

heres how i do things. its a nice easy set up.
i'll modify for your situation...
basically i have a mixer for the mics going to sound card.
then i use a seperate line mixer to take the output of the sound card and pass audio from the sound card to the monitors. for headphone monitoring i plug headphones into the line mixer so i hear what im recording with previously mixed tracks. if you cant afford a line mixer you could pass the stereo output of the sound card to a cheap cassette deck a family member threw out and plug your headphones into it then pass the out of cass deck to the powered monitors.
the reason i do this trick is i dont want to switch between mic and line.
hope ive explained this clearly. the advantafe of the cass deck (i have big ole
VU's on mine (and assuming you have balanced everything with a reference test tone) the vu's are usefull for sound card out level monitoring.
