Which headphone input?

So today I just bought the m-audio fast track and it has a 1/4 headphone input on it. I was wondering if there would be a sound difference and if it's better to use the m-audio. I'm assuming that it's there so if you're recording more than one instrument and more than one person is recording then they can hear only themselves. Anyways, my question is: headphone input on computer or on m-audio fast track.

IGNORE the on-board soundcard and use the one on the fast-track.
(built-ins have 40cents worth of cheap chips)
far better converter chips going in AND out on the fast-track - that why you bought it!

Captain obvious says "Headphone jack is an output". Computers headphone output should be flogged and displayed publicly to shame it's lameness!

Lol yea output I mean but what about the outputs on macs? Or are they still not as good and could I just use the output on the fast-track to casually listen to music?

Wasn't tryin to mock ya man. Just playin fun. Windows 7 was my idea, so I really don't know about the Mac. I assume that any internal soundcard is a no no. But I don't have a MacClue. McRib I can tell ya will result in diarrhea.

Lol, sounds like you just had one.

LOL! Nope, out of season for rib shaped pork product. Popeyes chicken worked tho! :)

Lol. Now I want some chicken.
Also my second question, will it hurt if I just use the fast-track headphone output to listen to music on a daily basis?

Only if you listen to the stuff posted in the MP3 Forum.

ba da bum!
