If I were to win the Lottery, I would buy a Les Paul :D.

I'd like a neck as slim as say, my Kramer Pacer, in rosewood or ebony.

Maybe like an SG, which are pretty slim.

Any suggestions - pictures are optional.....:D

slim neck ??

mine does ..... i have a 83 custom w/ the slimest fastest neck i have ever played ..... and the fretts .... cant even feel them when i am playing .... when i first got it i hadto learn to not slide past where i was going ...... this is one guitar i will keep forever

The Vixen has the smallest neck. That and the 1960 Custom Shop Reissue are the smallest. The SG actually has a fairly hefty neck unless you're talking about the 61 reissue, which is slimmer.

61 reissue

i have played a few 61 reissue-s ..... nice necks .... the fretts were a little high ... but ok ... not bad .... i may pick one up

Yeah, the Goddess should be the same neck as the Vixen. Its slimmer than the normal slim taper.

after a bit of research the goddess has the 60's slim taper and the vixen has the classic. i don't know which one is smaller.

My new LP Classic Antique has the slim 60's taper neck, and I would swear that both my old SG and ES-335 had slimmer necks. The 60's taper neck is pretty substantial - the earlier necks must feel like baseball bats.

the 50's neck is supposed to be pretty big. but the neck on my goddess doesn't seem big. it's a little bigger than my old ibanez but not too much bigger.
is it possible that the necks are sized for the guitars?

I don't know. The necks are hand-profiled, so I expect there is some variation from guitar to guitar (of the same model) within a basic set of measurements.

Are you still thinking about getting it refinished? Have you gotten any quotes?

no quotes yet. i'm going to wait till i have a few hundred dollars saved up, and then get some quotes. but if and when i get the money i will probably be doing it. unless i win the lottery. then i'll just get another :)

Like I said way back when. Get a new one, a new finish will never be as good. Treat yourself you know you deserve it.
