Im looking at three forms for copyrighting. I want to copyright some songs i've wrote but i dont know which form to use PA, Short PA, or SR. Any help i would appreciate.

If you want to copyright the underlieing musical composition then use the PA form. If you are the sole writer of the songs you are copyrighting, then you can use the short form. You can send in a CD, cassette, or sheet music with the music on it to copyright the composition, I personally send them the sheet music.

You use the SR form to copyright the sound recording of the music. The SR form actually has nothing to do with the underlieing composition. You can also send in a CD to take care of both the PA and SR requirements. But I think the CD needs to be almost your final product. (I.E. Manufactured CD for the SR copyright.) Although they say at the LOC that it just needs to be the best edition.
