I have a Tascam usb-122 interface and a Yamaha Paul Williams keyboard. I plan on running the interface into my desktop. Recording into Reason, Cubase, or Pro Tools.....not sure on the program yet, still open for any suggestions?? My question it what type of cable should I use. (Also should I go with MIDI, or Aux?)

Use a USB cable to hook up the US-122 to the computer, then a midi cable from the midi out of the keyboard to the midi in of the US-122. After turning the local on/off to 'off' you can run another cable from the midi out of the US-122 to the midi in of the keyboard.

Ok, I didnt realize you had to run a MIDI out of the interface and then MIDI "in" the keyboard. After already had done vice versa. I guess that kind of explains MIDI a little bitter. In the sense that the machines are some what "communicating".

Here are links to two good articles on midi basics - part one and part two. They may be a little basic for you, but we can all use a refresher course now and then...
