Hi, I want to get into recording and start small. I've got a MacBook Pro, Logic (and of course Garage Band as well). I've messed around for a couple years with an M-audio 410 which doesn't seem to be working consistantly for me. I was never very impressed with that interface anyway. So I'm in the market for another one.
I would like it to be good sound quality (of course), 2-4 inputs, and fairly portable and simple to use. I'm not sure whether to choose a Firewire or USB interface. At the moment I'm looking for something that isn't much hassle so I can just get down to laying down tracks (mainly working alone).
Any suggestions? I'm willing to pay a little more for the right product.
